Doing Our Bit For The Yorkshire Ambulance Trust

We can only imagine how exhausting it must be to be one of the dedicated frontline Health workers and all of us at Boss Cabins are incredibly grateful for the amazing work that they do.

So we were delighted recently when we were approached by Yorkshire Ambulance Trust and were able to help them in their search for welfare cabins where their first responders could have a rest and some refreshment between emergency callouts.

The Trust had heard about our cabins by word of mouth and went to our online website configurator to see if we had any specifications that would work for them. They particularly liked the Eco Ultimate electrical spec as they felt it would be super easy for their tired paramedics to use. It has just one on/off switch function meaning the paramedics could totally relax on their breaks without worrying about turning generators on and off or redirecting power supplies etc. The Eco Ultimate spec also fitted with the Trust’s desire to have as low an environmental impact as possible with low fuel use, low emissions and quiet operation.

In the end, the Trust decided the 9-person Canteen Space 14 unit was perfect for them for use on their Hull Royal Infirmary site and we were able to identify one of our customers who had this type of unit with an Eco Ultimate specification available to supply them. We then worked with our customer to provide a fully-managed service for Yorkshire Ambulance Trust and to solve their problems with as little stress to them as possible.

We have enormous respect for frontline ambulance trust and NHS staff and how hard and bravely they work on the country’s behalf in very dangerous circumstances. Therefore we were delighted and grateful that we were able to help them when they needed us, albeit in such a small way.

A number of our customers have been supplying units for use in hospitals, testing centres and other essential sites. We are very proud to work with these businesses and happy that we can continue to support them at this difficult time.
