Welder

We have a number of full-time positions available for both MIG (Mild & Stainless Steel) and TIG (Mild Steel, Stainless Steel & Aluminium) welders. Applicants should ideally have relevant experience and/or welding qualifications. The successful candidate will also be motivated, flexible and with a strong work ethic. Fluent English is preferred but not essential. Immediate start.

    A number of full-time positions are available working day shift. Full in-house product assembly training will be provided. If you are motivated, flexible, willing to learn and able to quickly pick up basic assembly operations, this job is for you.

      Spray Painter - Night Shift

      We are looking for an experienced Spray Painter to work night shifts at our manufacturing facility in Bourne, Lincolnshire starting immediately.

      The night shift runs from 4.30pm to 4.30am and you will be working five nights a week – Monday to Friday.

      You will be spray painting fabricated panels and doors to be used in the manufacture of our welfare cabins and other products. You will also be required to carry out touch up paint repairs and paint preparation work.

      As well as spray painting skills and experience, the ideal candidate will be motivated, flexible, reliable and with a strong work ethic. The pay rate is from £13.50 to £15 per hour (dependent on skills and experience) including £3 per hour night shift allowance.

        Are you looking for an interesting and exciting career in manufacturing?

        Boss Cabins is the UK’s leading manufacturer and supplier of welfare cabins, portable toilets, secure storage and tool charge stations to the construction industry. We are one of the area’s largest local employers with currently just under 200 employees working at our factory in Bourne, Lincolnshire.

        We are looking for bright individuals to join our team of engineers. The successful candidates will be fully trained to assist in the design and production process of our best-selling ranges of portable cabins.

        Boss Cabins design and manufacture some of the most popular lines of site welfare in the country and we are committed to constantly improving and expanding our product offering, with an
        ever-increasing emphasis on innovations that will benefit the environment.
        If you join our team, you will be trained in a number of different skills and competencies. You will spend time in all areas of the factory so that you have a good understanding of how the whole process fits together before settling into a permanent position.

        YOUR AREAS OF WORK WILL INCLUDE:

        • Engineering design using the latest CAD (Computer Aided Design) and FEA (Finite Element Analysis) software.
        • Machine programming of production equipment such as lasers, panel routers and robotic welders.
        • Production planning, bills of materials and purchasing tasks within the computerised MRP system.
        • Problem solving and production improvements (Lean Manufacturing Techniques) for assembly operations.

        Who are we looking for?

        • Hardworking individuals with a can-do attitude and a willingness to learn.
        • Good problem solving skills, logical thinking and creative flair.
        • High A level grades in Maths and preferably Physics.
        • An interest in how things work and how you can improve them
        • Attention to detail.

          When the Coronavirus pandemic began, we developed a strict series of Working Procedures covering every aspect of activity in our factory and offices, with the aim of minimising the risk of infection to our staf, customers, supplier and the general public.

          These go above and beyond current UK government and WHO advice and include the construction of a purpose-built Sanitisation Centre; home working if possible; provision of PPE; strict social distancing rules; daily health checks; mail/delivery sterilisation, and much more. All staff must comply with these Covid-19 protocols at all times without exception.
