PROCEDURE FOR STAFF: COVID-19 ILLNESS OR SELF-ISOLATION

BOSS CABINS – CORONAVIRUS ADVICE

DO YOU HAVE CORONAVIRUS?

Please check your symptoms against the coronavirus illness (COVID-19) checklist.

The main symptoms are:

1) Fever with a temperature over 37.8º centigrade. Normal temperature is between 36.5 and 37.5º.

2) A new dry persistent cough and/or shortness of breath.

If you are showing symptoms of coronavirus illness, under UK Government advice you should go home immediately or stay at home and self-isolate. The self-isolation period is 7 days. If your symptoms deteriorate, you should call the NHS hotline on 111.

PROCEDURE FOR REPORTING CORONAVIRUS-RELATED ABSENCE

If you do show symptoms of coronavirus illness and have to self-isolate, Boss Cabins require you to follow these steps. This will help us to adjust and plan our production schedule accordingly and keep the factory open.

STEP 1: Inform us of your symptoms. What symptoms are you showing and how severe are they? Tell us exactly what date you first expressed symptoms.

STEP 2: On Day 5 of the self-isolation period, please inform us how you are feeling and let us know whether you feel able to return to work once the 7 days ends.

STEP 3: If you are still expressing symptoms after the 7-day period and are unable to return to work, please give us a daily update on your condition so we can ascertain when you will be able to rejoin the workforce.

IF YOU FALL INTO THE GROUP DEFINED BY UK GOVERNMENT AS ‘EXTREMELY VULNERABLE’ AND RECEIVE A GP’S LETTER ADVISING 12-WEEK SELF-ISOLATION

The UK government and NHS have identified people they believe are at high-risk from COVID-19 and are sending out personal letters to these people strongly advising them to self-isolate for a period of 12 weeks.

If you receive one of these letters, you MUST advise us immediately and you MUST follow the government guidelines and self-isolate straight away. Please inform us immediately and send a copy of the letter.
