Early in 2017, Boss Cabins’ engineers came up with a nifty solution to a niggling problem with welfare cabin doors and as a result, we began to fit our exclusive magnetic door stays as standard across our entire range of cabins.
Door Stay is now available as a Retro Fit Kit for not only all earlier Boss Cabins units but also for the entire Groundhog range.
It is a legal requirement on all welfare cabins that the door must be held open while in use and previously all cabins used a traditional metal door stay which did this by engaging a notch in the stay in the door frame. To release this, someone would have to manually disengage the notch bar. All well and good, except we’re only human and sometimes people forget to lift the notch and try to forcefully close the door with the stay still in place causing damage over time to both stay and door frame. The magnetic door stay is our neat and clever solution to this problem and demonstrates yet again our aim to constantly improve the experience of cabin users, owners and hirers.
